PARIS – June 19, 2024 – IFF(NYSE:IFF) and its in-house natural ingredients specialist, LMR Naturals
(LMR) will unveil three new fragrance ingredients: Ylanganate, a new fragrance molecule; and
Grapefruit and Persian Lime Oils from LMR. These will be on display at the IFF booth (#436) during
this year’s World Perfumery Congress (WPC) at Palexpo, in Geneva, Switzerland from June 24 to 27.

Ylanganate, a powerful boost for delicate florals
IFF’s latest fragrance molecule, Ylanganate is the first new solution for perfumers to be showcased at
the WPC. Complete with a variety of solar white floral notes, it offers a gentle complexity and calm
sensuality that improves the performance of fruity, sweet and vanillic-balsamic notes in perfume
formulations. It carries no risk of discoloration, requires low dosage levels (below 0.5 percent) and
aligns with a readily biodegradable positioning. IFF’s Ylanganate delivers excellent performance in
perfumes and personal care applications and lends a sense of naturality even in synthetic formulas.
“The new Ylanganate molecule is a multifaceted ingredient with many sides to discover,” said Ricardo
Moya, senior perfumer at IFF. “Alongside primary white floral and citrus notes, its red and stone fruits,
wintergreen, balsams and spices notes contribute to a more authentic foundation across all scent
categories. It excels in many point-of-purchase scenarios, performing extremely well in home and
fabric care applications with outstanding fragrance intensity (bloom effect) on damp fabric and lasting
burn in air care. It is also highly compatible with technologies such as fabric care delivery systems.”
Premium purity from LMR Naturals Grapefruit and Lime Oils
IFF will also introduce two new fragrance oils from LMR: Grapefruit Oil CP Pink Mexico FCR LMR and
Lime Oil CP Persian Mexico FCR LMR. These oils are derived from the highest quality fruit peels
using cold-press extraction technology. From farm, through harvest to production, LMR cultivates

brightness and zest. The lime oil delivers sparkling tangy notes and a hint of sweetness while the
grapefruit oil packs a punch of bitter fruitiness complemented by aldehyde nuances.”
A sustainable, sensorial experience
At this year’s event, visitors can expect an unforgettable and engaging sensorial experience at IFF’s
booth. For the first time, it will feature a “Scent, Sound and Visual” cabin, leveraging IFF’s partnership
with Ircam Amplify and its ‘Science of Wellness’ program, and an interactive installation named the
‘Tree of Emotion’.
The booth will be constructed using recycled and upcycled materials, in addition to others that are
recyclable after use, such as cardboard and PEHD (high density polyethylene) plastics. Its aim is to
reflect the company’s commitment to protecting nature.
